Sermon Title: A New Creation

Text: Revelation 21:1-6a

Focus: God is a God of new beginnings not just at the end of time but throughout every season of our lives. God helps us to be born anew.

This Advent Series will explore some of the unlikely people that God chose to be a part of Jesus’ family tree. God chose an older couple, Abraham and Sarah, to go on the adventure of a lifetime. God chose Rahab and Ruth, both women of tremendous gumption, faithfulness, and questionable backgrounds. God chose Jesse and David, an unlikely father/son duo, to be a part of Jesus’ story. God chose Mary and Joseph, an unwed mother and non-biological father, to raise the Son of God. God often uses the most unlikely people to become a part of the greatest story ever told, and each one said “yes” to God.
