On Saturday, March 15th, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Jen Dreiske, the Chief Operations Officer at South Dakota Voices for Peace, will offer Bystander to Upstander training at First United Methodist Church. Lunch will be provided after the training concludes.

This training empowers those who want to advocate for others who are victims of discrimination and hate – but don’t know how. The Bystander to Upstander program offers realistic intervention methods and teaches practical skills to prevent and disrupt incidents of bullying and bigotry in daily life.

Jen Dreiske will also highlight information concerning apathy and strength and share how to use courage to bring victims of bigotry and hate back into belonging – which is the goal.
