Are you willing to move forward with a spirit of hope?

Yesterday, the General Conference began with worship which included beautiful hymns, gospel songs, moving prayers, Holy Communion, and a powerful message from Bishop Thomas Bickerton. During Bishop Bickerton’s message, he posed this question: “Are you willing to move forward in a spirit of hope and embrace a season of reformation, commit to the revitalization of The United Methodist Church and work for a culture marked by compassion, courage, and companionship?”

Such a poignant question for this General Conference. How can we move forward with a spirit of hope as a worldwide church?
